Some of the people that speedrun the game have even said that Dark Rapture might be harder than Dark Cotton Alley too. I think those 2 Dark Worlds are about the same in difficulty though.
Dark cotton is very stable in execution but levels like 7-9x, 7-7x and 7-16x all require excellent finger memory.
Light cotton isnt really bad, 7-4 and 7-16 stand out to me as annoying levels but since I started practicing it recently it's not nearly as daunting as it was, I might grab it by accident in a run at some stage I feel.
I actually did some routing there for it after this thread, realistically speaking the levels that arent trivial or relatively easy are:
5-17x, 5-20x (tricky)
and
5-3x, 5-4x, 5-8x, 5-12x, 5-17x, 5-18x (not too bad)
but the mechanics I'm using on several of the levels arent very well known or widely used, e.g. its almost impossible to die on 5-9x or 5-13x if you know how to do them whereas 5-9x is one of the hardest deathless levels in the game without abusing mechanics
