Steam Deck - stuttering

Just tried this on Steam Deck, everything set as default (stable SD branch). Every min or so the game skips a bunch of frames - meat boy basically skips forwards in time usually causing you to die.

Before I try a ton of different Proton versions etc has anyone else solved this? I feel like its unplayable like this.

I believe it has to do with the current PC version it's on so it might just be a port of that. That issue also happens on PC which ties to the framerate though people use programs such as MSI Afterburner and such to fix it but not sure if Steam Deck allows it as i don't got one myself but here's some suggestions -

If Steam Deck has launch options put -lowdetail or -ultralowdetail into launch options. The game will look ugly but atleast it'll run at the right framerate.

Softwares such as MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner being in the background though again not sure if possible on Steam Deck

Try look at the guide provided above, other than that there really is not much that can be done sadly.
