Super Meat Boy
Warp Zone stages are terrible.
They add a lives system, somewhat ruining the point of the game, and you have to be ejected into the world map when you lose, instead of being able to restart instantly, breaking the flow of the game. The ones without the lives are good though.

I'm not too bothered by the lives, but the only thing I don't like is that you can't press Space to skip the animation of Meat Boy going into the warp zone.
you should try a glitch level then

You have a good point. Maybe I just don't like the lives because I'm a bad player.

I definitely don't disagree with Cub on what he is saying. Perhaps something that would have made it even better was that after getting a game over in the warp zone, there was a retry quit menu and pressing retry would put you back at the first level of the warp zone with three lives.
Glitched warp zones I feel like are especially annoying to have to complete just because of this alone.

As for how the OP feels about these levels, I find that the usage of lives puts a spin on the main system making them more rewarding to complete. At my stage, I do feel that there are only a few truly difficult warp zones when you factor their difficulty with the rest of the game, especially when you try and get their bandages. I once disliked warp zones, but now am quite fond of them.
You also make great points. I really like the idea of a retry screen, and like I said before, I probably just don't like the lives due to being bad at the game.

I'm fine with the lives, it just adds a whole new level of challenge to it;) But I can see how some beginners might not like it;)

"Technically" warpzone stages are optional and beating them only works towards 100% (106%) total completion. Besides all character warpzones have the normal infinite life system anyway.

If you have trouble with a warpzone, play the game a bit more first (and get better) before reattempting. The only warpzones I had trouble with in the end were "The Kid", "Skyscraper", and "Meat is Death" (level 3) and one of those is infinite lives.

They are all definitely do all, just make sure you have the patience.
