And nope, 2/6 is not pretty much every boss.
You have to quit to the main menu and load back in to the level if you want any semblance of consistency with these mechanics.
also you aren't timed on bossfights. don't rush. if the stage itself doesn't have something to kill you for taking too long like the world three boss then you can take as long as you have to with no punishment.
and if you think that moving platforms are inconsistent you must be really bad at playing even remotely consistently. they're based on a cycle that's started when the level begins or is reset. they'll always be i the same place at the same time.
