Quitting during the 'Escape' level - where will I start from next time?
Spoilers:

I've just beaten Dr. Fetus and am now on the section where Meat Boy is carrying Bandage Girl back to the beginning of the level. If I exit the game now, where will I be when I start it back up again? I don't really want to have to go through the first part of the level again! Will it make me have to defeat Dr. Fetus a second time or just start me at the Bandage Girl phase?

If the former my computer may be running for a long while yet.

'tis ok, I have beaten it, yippee! Didn't take the risk of quitting just in case. Ow my thumbs

If you quit during the escape phase, the game will not save your progress, and will spawn you at the very start of the boss level.

Even if you have already beaten the game, this knowledge may be useful when you defeat the Dark World Dr. Fetus level.

Thanks for that, I'm glad I didn't quit halfway through in that case.

I like the optimism of "when" I defeat the Dark World Dr. Fetus level, rather than 'if'!
Half-decided that was me done with the game after getting that far, but I keep thinking I should at least give the dark world a shot (even if it looks like a hellscape of despair)

It might sound cliché, but practice makes perfect. All you need to invest is time; from what I've observed, it doesn't really matter what your prior amount of skill was. The majority does it in around 50-60 hours.

Since the Dark End required only 85 DW levels beaten to unlock DW Dr. Fetus, this means you can either skip the Rapture entirely and beat the Dark End levels, vice versa, or a mix of both.

Try not to hurt your thumbs next time.
