Can we remove the game timer?
Me and a friend have tried playing several games and have had to stop midway a few times. Whenever we return the game is gone and we have to start over. We finally realized that the game timer counts down even when you are not logged into a game so if you don't finish the game within the time you chose at the start you lose the game. This is really really really frustrating.

First, there needs to be a warning about this because it is really unintuitive.
Second, there needs to be a way to turn this off. The longest you can set is 45 days, which sometimes isn't even enough if we only get to play every few weeks.

I don't see any reason why this is setup like it is. Please fix this as it has ruined 4 games of mine already.

You guys really can't get a game done within 45 days of starting it?

+1 having same problems here with my games. We really need inifinite time limit.

Really 45 days isnt enough? lol

Why should it be limited? Is there a point? Also, there is no explanation as to how this works. I assumed it was like a chess timer, where each person's turn was timed, not the entire game.

I'd like an unlimited option as well. Sometimes life gets busy and it takes 3-10 days to make a move but you still want to continue the game (mostly against friends that I know IRL).

I agree - an unlimited option would be very nice. i completely understand why they need to include a timer as an option. But because I have few people to play with, the play-by-mail factor of a video game version is what appeals to me. Let me check my game(s) once or twice a day and make my one or two moves at a leisurely pace. If I want (and have the time to) to sit for 90 mins or 2 hours, I'll bug my partner to sit and play the analog version. 45 days seems like a lot, but given there may only be 1 or 2 moves played each day by each player (excluding interment decisions like enemy cards played that require the opponent to make an inter-tern choice), that's still only about 20-30 moves before the game timer runs out.

+1 for request for infinite timer.

It's actually 45 days PER PLAYER, or 1.5ish turns per day from each player. If you can't get it done in 3 months, you probably can't get it done at all.

@borisvolodnikov

This assumes both players are playing at exactly the same speed. If the timezones and work scedules are off, one player can end up burning an entire day almost every day while the other player only burns a few hours, making the timelimit be something like 55 days, not 90.

There's really no downside to the ability to remove the timer.

If you want to play a faster game, play a faster game.

If you aren't able to play a faster game, removing the timer keeps the game from forcing one of the players to forfeit in the middle of turn 9.

I also vote for an unlimited time multiplayer game. Why are people surprised when we ask for this? If you don't want to use it, you don't have to. Lots of us can't even do one turn a day. Sometimes I can do just a couple turns in one week, due to life circumstances. People go away over the weekend.

Please give us an unlimited time option.

OP here. My situation is that me and a friend play but we only get to play for an hour or so once every few weeks, if that. We just want to start a game and be able to go back to it whenever, without any time limit. We don't do the turn/day or anything; that's not our interest.

But yeah, it hurts nobody and benefits some of us to have an unlimited option.

Apparently the developers don't even read or respond on these forums. Everyone who wants this, please send an e-mail to Playdek. I did that for a different issue, and got a quick response. It's a shame that they don't bother responding on these forums.

Why are the naysayers caring that it would be an OPTION to do so? Option means you can play it normal or with infinite time. It doesn't affect you. Stop being babies.
