Save game editor/hacking guide for PC version?
There is too much grinding for specialists in the Item World.
I no longer have the time or patience for months of endless grinding like I did as a kid.
Is there a save game editor so I can save myself the time and just edit the number of specialists in an item to a much higher number? Maybe also edit the XP to a much higher number?

I've searched but only found reference to a program called "Edizon" that is for PlayStation saves but doesn't work with the PC version I have. I have never owned a PlayStation.
Maybe I'm not good enough with Google to restrict it to the less popular PC version.

I've also seen a reference to "Cheat Engine" but Windows Defender flags it as malware as "PUADlManager:Win32/OfferCore" which I can find no meaningful information on what that cryptic phrase means, and I have a degree in information systems. It gives some vague generic stuff about malware or PUPs, but nothing specific on that particular threat is and what it does. So I don't know what I'm opening myself up for if I tired to install it.

CE has a note on the download page explaining the issue. you just need to make sure to uncheck all the offers while installing.

Could you please provide a link to the verified non-malware version? Preferably a version without bundled malware (which I include adware) or crapware (like toolbars).
I'm also very familiar with bundlers that ignore your selection NOT to install crap or take you installing the program as permission to also install crapware like the defunct ASK Toolbar. Heck, even AOL Instant Messenger did it at one point in its history with OpenCandy and toolbars.
So I'm really reluctant to run anything flagged like that because I like to keep my system clean. I've been burned before and I haven't done a full system backup in almost two years. I skipped it in January because of my mother's death and I just remembered I forgot about it now.

If you would like a non-crapware installer last i knew it was available on their Paetron page or something (for a donation obv). Otherwise, just unceck all the offers, they are quite clear on this.
