Depending on your PC you might be able to emulate D2 though as long as you own the disc if PS3 hardware is not an option. You will want at least a 6th gen i7 or newer to try or you will find that it bogs down.
So...
As was Disgaea 5 so....your point?
Honestly it seems like NIS (not NISA, who really has little to no say in it anyway) kinda wants to forget DD2 exists. It's not like it's been ported at all.
As for Disgaea 6, well interesting thing about that....

Very interesting that there's seperate PAL and NTSC listings for PS4, if this is true i'll probably get 6 then
One doesn't have to be a keen observer to see that Japanese devs (from here on referred to as Jevs) have realized that not porting their PS3/XBOX360 games to newer consoles is basically leaving money on the table, and when stuff gets ported to PS4/PS5, it gets ported to PC too because why would you port something and then leave out the largest growing platform?
The other dude forgot that 4 was ported from PS3 to PS4 first before coming to PC. Same thing will happen to D2 eventually, if it's not already in the works.
Looks like all Jevs are doing this, it's easy money. That's why all the the Atelier games from the PS3 era are all on PS4/PS5 and PC. As well as Valkyria Chronicles, Ni No Kuni, Vesperia,
I wouldn't be surprised to see Xillia 1 and 2 and Graces F get ported to PC in the next year or so, Eternal Sonata, too.
Disagaea 3 is the one I wouldn't put money on, it's not that beloved and they'd have to redo the sprites for new gen consoles (Disgaea 4 already had HD sprites, as did D2), they might just skip that one, if we ever see it on PC, it's likely not gonna get the "Complete" treatment Disgaea 1 and 4 got.
To me, the more interesting question is if Disgaea 1 complete is ever going to be available on PC and if so, how do they sell it. Would it be an upgrade for owners of Disgaea PC? Would it be a separate game with a loyalty discount? Or simply a full price game?
One thing I know for sure, as the PC market grows, especially in Asia, and considering the amount of censorship Jevs had to endure from Playstation in recent years since they moved their headquarters from Tokyo to California in 2016, I only see them embracing PC more and more, so the days of seeing consoles getting games we don't will soon come to a close.
I dobn't think there's much in the 'Complete' version of 4 that wasn't in the Vita version is there?
I don't think there's any DLC on top of it that wasn't in the base game (the Disgaea wiki doesn't mention any) so justa port of the Vita version would be 'complete' anyway.
And who says they'd "have" to use HD sprites?
I doubt they'd re-release it on home consoles without the HD sprites, otherwise they would've done the same for Disgaea 1 which was basically the PC port plus HD sprites and a few QoL improvements.
Given that NiS did not want their game censored to ♥♥♥♥ and butchered by Sony was the motivator behind the Switch Exclusiveness. PS4 in Japan didn't censor the game and Sony made it very clear (their HQ is now in San Francisco btdubs) they are out to censor Japanese games PERIOD. They did not want to hinder the success of their sixth installment through ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ political correctness from us westerners.
