Which EX Boss am I missing and where to find :/
Hey guys,
a long long long time ago I played this game XD I managed to remember quite a bit, but I just can't figure out which EX Boss I'm missing now :/

On the Dark Collection list (page 3)
I have:
Item General Item King
Item God Item God2
Prinny God ?????
Zetta Adell
Rozalin Priere
Marjoly Baal
Prinny Baal

What is the missing one :/ It's driving me crazy

and please don't tell me its Astro Carter from the Human World, cause thats the only Ending I didn't do till now and the last Song I have to unlock for the shop before the endless grind is left to get the 10m damage on a single hit :D

By the way, did you get the ending where Etna takes on Baal in her story mode?

Yep did that one with an army of Surts and Etna together XD Was preparing for that one in a normal run through with throwing lvl 9999 Surts into the base and capturing them :D And having some decent mobility on Etna + a Yoshitsuna and getting rid of the Geos in the order: Clone, Enemy Boost, Silence, Lift.

The Achievements I'm missing right now are EX Bosses, Hyperdrive, Transmigration Master and the 10m Damage.

Guess I could probably "cheat" the transmigration master with doing some quick transmigrations on a char after a couple lvls, but so far I just do them once Laharl hits 9999, so currently I'm at 2/10 lol

Not much point in bringing Laharl to 9999 if you're only going to transmigrate him after. The bonus stats you get are based purely on the number of levels banked, not on the XP needed to gain them, so you'll gain stats much faster if you transmigrate every few thousand levels or so.

Keeps me busy somehow and it's kinda decent speedwise.
Would probably be faster if I do it at around 3000 every time, but right now, Im not impatient enough to speed it up XD

Currently missing 3 on mine (I reset my Baal kills and am currently adjusting stuff to do Etna Baal then go back to sweep through Laharl Baals,) but my extra enemy data has Astro Carter on it. So that is likely what you're missing, it's right under Item God 2 on the list.

For the min-max, the very last transmigration you do should be on a level 9999 character.

Why, what difference does it make?

Or do you mean "to" a level 9999 character?

If I remember correctly, if u do the trans at 9999 u will get the highest default starting stats and if u get above the lvl threshold u will have 210 instead of 200 points. Something along those lines

The extra 10 points is for reincarnating successively into the same class. But yeah, being level 9999 will also ensure you have the best possible base stats.

To my understanding, you get 200 bonus points for maxing out the counter at 186,000 banked levels, and you get an additional 10 for taking the Genius transmigration (which you're pretty much always going to do) - so there's your 210 points.

What I don't get is why you'd bother to grind to level 9999 before any given transmigration (given that level gains slow down significantly the higher you go). I can't find any mention of any additional bonus for doing so.

... and I've also never heard that one before. :(

Oh, wait, the "same class" bonus is apparently Disgaea 3?

When reincarnating, you get the extra points for genius, the extra points for the stored levels, and the base stats are based on your level (you'll see how there are yellow bars and blue bars. The yellow bits are the base stats of the class and tier, the blue bars-without having spent any bonus points-are what you get as extra depending on the level you were at).

Well I know for a fact it's in 2, I thought it was in this one as well.

Ah! That's new info for me. I found more details in a guide:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/589678-disgaea-hour-of-darkness/faqs/26085

-----------------
4.9 - Yellow Bars
-----------------

As mentioned in the previous section, the values for the yellow bars are solely
determined by the current stats without equipment before transmigrating. Extra
stats gained from pupils don't count, but stolen stats do count. The tables
below show the stats you need to get each yellow bar value. The HP table isn't
quite exact but the Other Stats table should be. I think each class uses the
same two tables.

One important thing to be aware of is that each capability places a cap on the
yellow bars:

Good-for-nothing 15
Incompetent 20
Average 25
Skilled 30
Distinguished 35
Genius 40

To get each bar to its maximum 40 points, you need to have at least 1,120,000 HP (without pupil or equipment bonuses), and at least 280,000 points for all your other stats. That does require a fair bit of levelling.

Those breaking points are good to know. So that kinda means the 9999 aren't necessary as long as u manage to hit all those stats for max benefits on the final transmigration.
At least I would understand it that way
