how can be possible baal before item god?
by global achivements stats, there is more saves where baal is defeated than item god. Is it supposed to be normal?

It's possible, when spending long enough on CoO3 or Demonhall mirror. I have a couple of level 2000 characters without ever going farther than floor 60 in the Item World.

The game had some pretty high achievement completion percentages displayed immediately on launch, suggesting that many of the beta players were using cheats (likely to help them test the game). For achievements which currently have very low completion percentages (like the ones you're talking about), those players will've skewed the numbers a bit.

But yeah, you don't HAVE to beat Item Gods in order to be able to take on Baal. It just helps a whole lot.

My longest running game of Disgaea, couple of hundred hours in and I never got past floor 80 on an item world. Sounds like an all day thing and I have kids now, so it will be even harder to face an item god.

Baal is a pansy compared to finding time to hit floor 100 in one run. That or I played the game wrong lol.

I DEFEATED BAAL BEFORE ITEM GOD

WHY?

BECAUSE ITEM WORLD CRASHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No cheats used.

Blasted Baal and even the UPB before slaying an Item God, so the global achievement seems legit to me.

If it weren't for crashes, would have killed Baal by now without cheating, likely will not kill an item god unless I specifically bother trying to get there. I beat Baal in PSP literally just by grinding (I think I had a six figure total level on my top grinded character, as I used to play at work on my lunch break lol).

Also feel required to add, there was ~0.3% completion rate on all achievements on launch day. Suspect devs and/or beta testers cheated and couldn't remove their steam achievements :P

Grind on Cave of Ordeals with 300 statistican and 1900 armsmaster, once your progress rate slows, pass the stronger enemies bills. Keep doing this until you have at least one massively overpowered fighter on a high level, and also potentially a high level thief.

Then pass all the weaker enemies bills.

Fight Baal, steal his armour, and use fodder troops to lift him up at the end of a turn so he can't fight back. Once he loses his unique items, he'll be significantly weaker, and if you lift him up he won't be able to hit back in that turn (but the character lifting him will die, so use fodder troops).

That way as long as you can outdamage him, you can easily kill him. Using mages to braveheart you can also help a lot.

I haven't gotten to Baal in this incarnation, but I have always beaten him before an IG. IG will instantly change the ending and I usually had to tackle (due to my impatience) Baal in playthrough 1. Which means, if I killed an IG, I would not get the good ending. Its not impossible with decently leveled equips, a Yoshi (leveled up), and matching rarities to take Baal down.

If you ran with a nice Arcadia, SRS, SRS or nirvana, and a Yoshi - all rarity matched - there should be no problems with Baal.

IG ending also requires at least one friendly kill, so simply levelling some items isn't enough to lose the good ending.

Pretty much this. Baal isn't in the item world, so you don't have to dive too deep into it if you don't want to.

If you know what you're doing, you can "sequence break" a lot of things in Disgaea. That's not to say it's the "recommended way" of doing it, especially if you're new or don't really know what you're doing. But... yeah. The achievement stats don't really say anything huge.

Indeed they do. The other stat growth specialists cease to be effective after 300, but armsmasters go to 1900.
