But yeah, you don't HAVE to beat Item Gods in order to be able to take on Baal. It just helps a whole lot.
Baal is a pansy compared to finding time to hit floor 100 in one run. That or I played the game wrong lol.
I DEFEATED BAAL BEFORE ITEM GOD
WHY?
BECAUSE ITEM WORLD CRASHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No cheats used.
Also feel required to add, there was ~0.3% completion rate on all achievements on launch day. Suspect devs and/or beta testers cheated and couldn't remove their steam achievements :P
Then pass all the weaker enemies bills.
Fight Baal, steal his armour, and use fodder troops to lift him up at the end of a turn so he can't fight back. Once he loses his unique items, he'll be significantly weaker, and if you lift him up he won't be able to hit back in that turn (but the character lifting him will die, so use fodder troops).
That way as long as you can outdamage him, you can easily kill him. Using mages to braveheart you can also help a lot.
If you ran with a nice Arcadia, SRS, SRS or nirvana, and a Yoshi - all rarity matched - there should be no problems with Baal.
IG ending also requires at least one friendly kill, so simply levelling some items isn't enough to lose the good ending.
armsmaster stack over 300? I thought it was like statician.
Pretty much this. Baal isn't in the item world, so you don't have to dive too deep into it if you don't want to.
If you know what you're doing, you can "sequence break" a lot of things in Disgaea. That's not to say it's the "recommended way" of doing it, especially if you're new or don't really know what you're doing. But... yeah. The achievement stats don't really say anything huge.
Indeed they do. The other stat growth specialists cease to be effective after 300, but armsmasters go to 1900.
