Way to Speed Up or Skip Geo Panel Explosion?

When changing the color of multiple geo panels in a long chain, is there a way to speed up or skip the animation that ensues. I've tried pressing a few keys like Escape, Spacebar and clicking around. I also couldn't find this with a few searches for "Geo Skip" "Geo Fast" and last "Geo Panel" was a bit too broad.

Sadly, such option never existed for Disgaea 1 as far as i know.
which is a shame.

There isn't, I'm afraid. I really thought there'd be one, but it looks like I was thinking of Disgaea 2.

I find them oddly satisfying. But yeah, it wasn't in the first game at all afaik.

Certainly wasn't in the PSP version. I had to keep pushing buttons to stop the display from going to sleep.

I hope there is a way in either an update or at least in future Disgaea PC releases.

press tab on teh keyboard, turns geo effects on/off

whops that just hides the colours on the ground

I think the PS2 version had a Geo Effect speed up. Can't bother to set my PS2 to check it again though.
