Extra content?
I bought Disgaea twice, once for the ps2 (the origional) and once for the nintendo DS. The DS version had tons of extra content. An example is gaining the hero from Disgaea2 as a bonus character.
I guess you know what I'm going to ask, is the extra content not in the origional PS2 version in this one?

"Includes all content from Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness " Which is the PSP version of the game. But who knows? Maybe they will add all extra from DS version as well :D

It would be safe to assume they didn't. That way no disappointment.

Also I do think they would brag about stuff like that.

Thanks, I might buy it then, but that'll likely be next month. Besides, I just recalled the art and music bonuses, that makes it worth 20

Hour of Darkness is the Original
So since its saying Afternoon of Darkness it should have everything that version of the game had including any DLCs, which is basically what its saying.

As its the PSP version though it shouldnt have anything related to the NDS version as Nintendo would have rights to whatever is on that one.

That would potentially apply if Nintendo published it, but I didn't think they did based on what I read. Though I may be wrong. If NIS/NISA published it it doesn't matter what system it went to, they still hold all the rights.

Please can someone link me to where it says its from PSP version? As the details only say Afternoon of Darkness which is the name shared by both the PSP and NDS versions.

NDS didn't share Afternoon of Darkness. Game was called just Disgaea DS

According to the Disgaea Wiki, the PSP version (Afternoon of Darkness), which is apparently the source of this port, does NOT have the features of the DS version. Those features included the Prinny commentary and recruitable Pleinair on a NewGame+ (and other extended features). So we aren't getting those, unless they surprises us. I am not holding my breath on that one.

It does include Etna mode, the music shop, the Record Keeper, and some other options.

Sadly, neither version comes with the Cheat Shop from D4 Vita, DD2, and D5. That alone is a great feature that I REALLY wish they had added to this. I have purchased this game 3 times, original PS2, DS, and the "classic" version to play on PS3/Vita. I'm going to purchase it a 4th time, but I am very sad that they did not choose to merge an improved game engine with the original story. I really enjoy the new improvements to game play in DD2 and D5.

I'm actually glad that they didn't do so >:D

The problem with stuff like the cheat shop is, that this game is using an old engine which was replaced with D4, it would take so much work that it would 100% lead to an increase in price. Be happy we get the artbook and OST for free with it, I believe neither was ever available in the west.
