Leeroy Jenkinses, aren't they?
1. You can prevent this by giving your casters really high Hit values. It needs to be bigger than the ninjas speed stat. (not recommended)
2. You are better off keeping items in your inventory for the ninja to use to heal with.
I imagine the ninja dodging the heals from the items he uses.
Though I've yet to see a ninja dodge an item thankfully.
one of the quirks from the original, not a bug.
fair nuff then
Go into settings during a battle, toggle friendly / enemy effects.
Apparently not - the PSP and DS versions apparently only let them do this with animations turned off. The PS2 version isn't affected (as it doesn't let you do that).

So if this version does it all the time (with animations on or off), as Mhblis reports, then that'd be a new bug specific to Disgaea PC.
