Yes you can. The same choice window will be given, so you can choose Etna or Laharl mode again.

Thanks a ton. I never had the chance to play etna mode in the past so im not as familiar with it as i am with Disgaea as a whole.

apart from CoO3, to be honest, etna mode is pretty short, and to me a bit pointless, the other thing is,, it will mess up your charactor list, so if you got a lot of charactors, you will be spending time reorginising them. when you play the main campaign again.

but for me, I won't be replaying this mode,

is there an etna mode version of DemonHall Mirror? If i remember correctly after clearning all of DemonHall Mirror you get the best grind area

Yeah, and it is Cave of Ordeals 3, that is the ultimate grind point in the game.

Laharl mode CoO3 -> Demonhall Mirror repeatable -> Etna mode CoO3.

you can only go as far as CoO5 with etna mode, so no DHM in etna mode,

sorry for necroing an old thread, but just so we're clear, how do I unlock Etna Mode? I just finished my second playthrough where I THOUGHT I was being careful to read her diary every chapter, but I didn't get an option to play Etna Mode.

From the wiki

Unlocking
At the title screen, highlight the "New Game" option, then press Triangle, Square, Circle, Triangle, Square, Circle, X. (X,Y,B,X,Y,B,A on the DS or Switch. And I, J, L, I, J, L, K on the PC) If you entered the code correctly, you will hear Etna's voice.
On the mobile phone ports of Disgaea 1 Complete, you do not need to enter the code, it's automatically unlocked.
Alternatively, successfully complete the game after reading Etna's entries in her secret chamber. To enter Etna's secret chamber, press the two secret buttons in Laharl's Castle. The first button is behind the throne. The second button is inside the skull on the counter in RosenQueen's store. After both buttons are pressed, go to the room where Longinus, Ghoss, Gargo and a randomly-named prinny are usually found. Press X in the corner behind the prinny to reveal the door. If the player uses this method instead of the cheat code, the enemies will be much higher in level in the next cycle if you choose to play Etna Mode.
The player must read all entries BEFORE the final chapter and if attempting to enter the secret chamber during the final chapter a Testament will be awarded, which is the sign that Etna mode will be available after the ending of the current playthrough.

I did that much, it seemed to start me off fresh, except with only Etna and she was level 1.
