Yes, I'm sure a physical edition with limited production is the same as a digital port of an old game /s.
I bought this game so they bring over the other ones. by the time I get to the other ones they'll probably all be in a package that will go for 20 bucks and I'll rebuy this game.

But I don't regret buying this game.
Sorry - who is forcing you to buy or like this game again?
Brilliant SRPG, yeah it could be cheaper, but if the price irks you - don't buy it. It's not like you need it or anything.

My thoughts run like this. I already own this game on 3 different platforms and I am not willing to pay more then ten bucks to own it on PC.

If you already have it on other platforms, why are you whining about the price on PC?

I don't mind popping down $15 for it, because my only other option involves doing something I can't mention on Steam without risking a temp-ban...then again, I actually act like an adult and don't think I'm entitled to extremely cheap games for reasons unknown to any entity, human or divine.

If you had actually read my post you would have seen that A I am not whining about the price merely stating what I felt the game on PC was worth to me and B I went on to say that it was worth the full price to someone who liked SRPG's and had not played it yet.

80%? This is such a silly thing to complain about. It's like buying a jacket and keeping it for a while, then seeing the same jacket at a different store for slightly less, and getting upset that you can't get it for almost free. If you've already bought Disgaea and poured a million hours into it, why are you even making a thread?

You're totally disregarding all of the people who have yet to play Disgaea while simultaneously ignoring the hell NISA went through to get the port working right. If you want to play Disgaea but don't want to spend money, you have options and have had them for ages, heck, you can just fire up your old PS2 save and play that--you do have your old PS2 save from 2003, right? You literally have no reason to be here.

Agreed with Pivi and others. $20 is not unreasonable for this rather awesome game. In my area it wasn't actually on shelves when the PS2 was still a major concern. Or if it was stocked, it sold out almost right away. I never heard of Disgaea until a 3 years ago. I got to play it on PS2 thanks to Gamefly, but couldn't get my own copy for a reasonable price. So Disgaea PC is awesome, and I'm more then willing to shell out the cash for it. Just as I'm willing to shell out the cash for the PC version of hard to find PSOne games like Final Fantasy VIII.

By all means, wait for it to go on sale if you want. I have a few games on my wish list I'm waiting to go on sale again. But it's unreasonable to expect them to give you an 80% discount or remove the game. Disgaea is far bigger and more robust game then many you'll find on the xbox store for $20. And the games on Steem that are $4 or less tend to be small games which wont even take a couple hours to beat. Often ones that clearly were made using RPG Maker. Not that there's anything wrong with RPG Maker. I'm using it myself to (slowly) create a game.

I for one want more Disgaea/NIS games on Steam (Disgaea 2 is coming! But we need them all!) so I gladly paid the full price for Disgaea and Phantom Brave! I only wait for sales on games that I feel "meh" about, and most $40-60 games.

In an attempt to turn this into a useful conversation instead of someone whining about what they feel they're entitled to, I couldn't really get into Phantom Brave that much due to the temporary nature of the summoned characters.

It made sense with the plot I got during the demo, but it didn't really feel as good as Disgaea's systems.
"Iam a special little snowflake who wants to buy his games only for 80% discount.
Anyone who will say otherwise can go *******. I meant it! I will call my edgy gang of edginess if you wont listen."

My problem with Phantom Brave's demo was that the first battle felt unwinnable. That may have been my fault though since I skipped the tutorial. I figured I'm familar with such games, I could figure out any unique mechanics on my own... only to deal 0 damage to the enemy in the battle.

That might have been a bug, since I managed to win the fight fairly easily. :P
