how to unlock etna mode

i played the main story twice the second time before the last battle i list read all of etna notes or memories but it didnt unlock it what to do ?

The conventional method is to read each section of Etna's diary during the chapters in which they become available - if you have any to "catch up on" when you hit the final chapter, then you've messed up. Doing things this way allows you to bring in your old characters via NG+ (which is handy, since Etna mode's Cave of Ordeals 3 stage happens to be the best training level in the game).

The secondary method is to hit I, J, L, I, J, L, K on the title screen.

I've heard that you just need to read all diary entries at any time before you start the final chapter... but might as well go and check the new entry at the start of every chapter, since it's easier to remember and accomplishes the same thing.

Nah, sadly learned the hard way that you have to do it chapter by chapter lol

If you're going for 100% then you've got to clear the main story a bunch of times anyway. Plenty of time to get it right. :)
