Is it worth playing through Etna mode as soon as I finish the main game?

I personally was thinking about finishing and then play a little more of this one,then move to the second,do the same thing there and then move to the fifth and after I played the fifth for a while to start Etna mode.

The thing is that I wanted to play through the first 2 quickly so that I can move to the fifth but I ended up enjoying them a lot(I'm still playing the first now but I'm sure that I will feel the same about the second) and not only focusing on the main story,and even though I'd like to play them for more I'd also like to play the fifth.I really expected not to have so much fun in the first 2 so this is why I even bought the fifth one on the Switch as soon as a physical edition from where I buy my games got back in stock.

Etna mode is amazing! Definitely play it! If you play it while you still have the main story's structure fresh in your mind, I think you'll notice more of the subtleties in how Etna mode's story mirrors the main story. Also, might feel more natural finishing here first and then moving on to better graphics and added game mechanics in the newer games.

Etna mode is definitely worth it for the extra storyline bits and hilarity involved. It's also not very long so it's not much of a time commitment to playing it out.

Well I guess you are right.I didn't know that Etna mode actually mirrors the main story.I thought that it just has some different chapters and stuff.That's great to know though!

of course. Etna is the true mascot and main character of the series. hell, if they released a main series game that DIDNT have her, it would probably spell the end of the series.

well i mean, its etna who gets plastered all over everything related to disgaea. granted, im fairly certain the prinnies are the -official- mascot. but screw prinnies. i hate those things.
