Turok: Evolution
Evolutions PC Version was graphically an xbox port and runs fine even today. But it's unplayable due to the most f*cked up implementation of mouse acceleration ever. Please fix this , and the broken keymapping tool and rerealse it. The game had tons of potential on xbox already, but the gamepad layout was suboptimal (sigh). With properly implemented M+K controls it would be pure, brutal oldschool gold.

if they do this they will also need to fix how the game randomly takes away key weapons during certain points of the story

Honestly there are a LOT of things about Evolution that could use fixing.

Yes; the Xbox, Gamecube, and PC versions.

Played the Xbox version until chapter 11 and never had a weapon taken away. Thaught this was a pc bug.

The PC version was done very poorly, to put it short. Beyond all its bugs, multiplayer is nonfunctional and hidden away and its based off the PS2 version of the game but even worse.

This is notable because the PS2 version is highly compressed and missing a lot of graphical features and lighting. As you could expect, the PC version is like that but worse.

In my experience this is present in the Xbox version, too. An example: If you got the hidden rocket launcher in Summit Battle (Chapter 3 Part 2), you lose it at the start of Chapter 4.

The pc version has the lighting (flamethrower) and the sharper xbox textures. It's also DX 9 only. But the sound is compressed indeed.

So

Graphics: Xbox
Sound: Ps2

I think it shouldn't be a lot of work to change the audio files.

Honestly I apologize, I am not sure what version the PC one is ported from. I simply assume its PS2 because it lacks a lot of the Xbox lighting effects. This is easily noticable at the exit of the first level. Either way, its a very bad port and I'd love a proper real one.

No reason to apologize as i didn't consider the sound either. About the lightning effects, i only considered the fire, perhaps they left part of the effects out or simplified the lighting ? anyway, even a fluid ps2 port with short load times would satisfy me, an xbox port with proper aiming would be a childhood dream come true (:

id like a remaster or at least some bug fixing for Turok evolution on PC. Weapons disappearing on certain levels and what really really annoyed me was the zoom on the pistol was completely messed up.

This seems to sell pretty well so far so here's hoping :-)
