Mod Support : No Workshop?
I just thought I'd say I love that the devs have added support for modding and think it is an awesome step in the right direction! However, I don't understand why they didn't add steam worskhop support. It would streamline the mod scene for this game and allow for many creators that would not bother with mods otherwise. It's not that big of a deal but it just seems like a missed shot imo.

Steam Workshop is cool, and something we have discussed. However, it only works for Steam obviously. We have people on other stores such as GOG, and so we need a solution that works for them. We already have a Nexus site up, so we felt that this worked well for everyone - most people into mods know about the Nexus and it has a robust network and tools for authors to use: http://www.nexusmods.com/wasteland2/

That said, we may be able to consider Workshop support in the future based on the demand and how much people end up making/using mods. :dante:
guys what about the Korean support? I'm still waiting for this

@sear Awesome to hear, and that does make sense. Looking forward to some awesome mods! :steamhappy:

Since sometime early in the beta, someone changed the camera angle to an extremely steep one. With the mod tools, can the camera angle finally be changed to put it in line with other isometric games?

I've been unable to play since early beta because the camera is inducing nausea. :(

I tried using nexus and paid to get an account but cant get anything to work. I have limited knowledge of these things and steam workshop is so easy to use. Please get it up and running as i love this game

Sorry, but on Nexus you don't need to pay to create a new account, it's free.

If you do not want to buy Premium Membership simply skip this step by pressing "Create Account" at the bottom of the page.:steamhappy:

@yetimonster86

JoKo is correct. You do not need a premium account on Nexus. I believe it gives you access to faster downloads if you do have one. But it's unnecessary.

Go here: http://www.nexusmods.com/wasteland2/?tb=mod&pUp=1 Make sure you're on the "FILES" tab on any page that contains a mod to download. If installing manually you need to locate and replace the original file on your computer. The "DESC"(description) tab will typically explain how to install. Good luck with this until we get workshop.

I do agree though, Steam Workshop is much easier, and would be a fantastic addition to any game sold on Steam that supports modding.

I'm curious. Does Steam charge Devs to add Steam Workshop?
