Two versions of Director's Cut ????

I'm really confused. In my Steam library I have Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 2: Director's Cut. But when I go to the community pages for Wasteland 2 it says it's Director's Cut. So it seems they just updated the original version to be Director's Cut. And that it will be the same as the separate Director's Cut that actually has its own store page.

However, the confusing thing is that when I look at the install size of Wasteland 2 (not Director's Cut in title) the game install size is bigger. Wouldn't you expect it to be the other way around?

This is strange. I haven't played this game so maybe someone who knows it can explain. Thanks.

It was a free update, and they share a forum, but there are enough differences that they let you install either one (and they each have their own separate lists of the same achievements). The Director's Cut just better compressed and optimized.

Director's Cut looks a bit better and has more voice acting. It adds quirks/traits and perks and streamlines certain gameplay elements. Some people prefer the original game's balance, but if you've never played I'd probably just go for the DC.
