There is now a major update that includes new content and refined control. Some details:

• Thanks to the feedback from the Steam Next Fest, I have made changes to the jumping mechanism. Controls are now tighter with less "floaty" air time. I’ve removed jump-key hold scaling, added more air control, and implemented coyote time—making platforming feel faster yet more forgiving. 

• The map has expanded to include a segment of microtubule and another piece of endoplasmic reticulum; the explorable region is now roughly 5 µm by 1 µm (Figure 1). This new area also introduces several new types of proteins and puzzles centered on ubiquitin, proteasomes, and protein degradation.

• Many minor level design changes were made to make falling less punishing. Also there are now more cutscenes, small talks, and some collectible items which require more challenging jumps. 

Future plan:

• I am gradually adding more proteins to the map.The current plan includes amino acid metabolism, metal transport, and tRNA synthesis. A lot of papers to be read. 

• The chloroplast. This will be a lot of work, likely doubling the current map size and introducing many new proteins and mechanisms. 

• The "early access" version will probably be released after the chloroplast. I will keep updating the "demo" for now. My current plan is to have the full game exactly the same as the "demo", so anyone can play for free or buy the full game to show support.

Help wanted:

• Anyone willing to help testing and provide feedback is welcome. Reach out to me if you want to be more engaged (i.e. higher frequency than per release). 

• If anyone knows interesting protein systems that exist in eukaryotic green algae and have known structures and are not implemented in the game yet, feel free to send me references.

• I might want to recruit a new cat as the reward for finishing the glycolysis process(finally possible with the enzymes in chloroplast). Ideally distinguished from the two cats that I already have (Figure 2)...
