How to do an Outfit Scan

I have a mission that requires me to do an outfit scan on cruiser R.N.S Kangri, and I have outfit scanner installed, how can I scan the cruiser?

You can't scan their weapons with a cargo scanner... You need an outfit scanner.

As I mentioned, I do have outfit scanner installed... I just cant figure out how to do the actual scanning.

I believe the hotkey is S to scan a ship. just target it, and then get somewhat close (you don't need to be right ontop of it, it actually has a decent range) if it's not S, you can view the hotkey in the "preferences".

Just use the preference key for scanning, It'll do both.

IMPORTANT: You have to hold down the scan button to scan.

I did not know this. That would explain why I needed like 40 to get the syndicate drone cargo scan to work...
