He tried to kill me with the forklift!
I played way too much EV and EV: Nova.

I loved the flying of Elite: Dangerous, but the damn game was so BORING. Why couldn't they just add a healthy dose of dialogue, descriptions, and text? I was very disappointed and thought it sucked compared to Escape Velocity, and this game confirms my nostalgic judgement.

I too had been looking for alternatives to Escape Velocity over the years. I enjoyed Starpoint Gemini 2. It does a lot of things similar to EV but there wasn't really a whole lot to do in the game (although they keep adding to it I believe). I'm really glad to have found Endless Sky. It is ticking all the right boxes for me so far :)
