Gold and Glory Farming Tips Needed

I know about the Shootingthe Fleet Glitch, but all it seems to do for me now is take my 50Gold and theres no winning payout.

I pay the 10gold for the practice, miss every single shot as needed.
Shooting the fleet option shows up, I ace it 8-9 hits each round.
Im told I won and to "take it all" but no gold is given.
I go to quit the speech menu and the guy gives me my 10gold back from the practice.

So I think maybe they patched the gold glitch part?


Any other ways to farm gold relatively easily. Only thing I can think of is Jungle farming, then reloading the map by sailing away and back again.

you have to keep on shooting, over and over, when you completely leave the conversation the gold will be rewarded. Getting to cunning 8 and training for parrots, use the parrot in a fight, put away your sword and capture the parrot, repeat. the parrots sell for 200gold each. Glory, do the Treasure island DLC ASAP, you get steelbeards pirate almanac which adds +10% Glory
