Physx issue (?)
Can anyone with an nvidia card with latest drivers (including physx) confirm that Risen 2 is playable once again?

Alright then.

I have a problem with "Risen 2: Dark Waters". When I'm validating the game cache files shows up a file which has been downloaded each time when I start to verify game integrity. I've installed every additional software - DirectX, vcredist-x86 and also PhysX Software even I got the latest update for it.

My rig is Lenovo Y580:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM @ 2.30 Ghz
RAM: 8GB DDR3 @ 1600 Mhz
Video: 2GB GDDR5 GeForce GTX 660M
Driver version: 337.88
OS: MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

So, my rig is above the recommended system requirements. When I start the game shows up the starting logo, then flashes like entering full screen mode and that's all. The game does not start.

If anyone has any suggestions, please write.

It works!

1. Uninstall nVidia PhysX in control panel.
2. Download PhysX driver from here: http://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/9.13.1220/PhysX-9.13.1220-SystemSoftware.msi&lang=us&type=Other
3. Install it, should work now.
