Flickering faces when camera is near NPCs
Hi @ all,

I'm just wondering if anybody else is facing the kind of graphical glitches that I do.
I recently upgraded my graphics card (GTX 750 Ti) and also had the problems with the new update... (got it working thanks to the comments in here).

Now the faces of all NPCs are kind of flickering when the camera is near. Looks like there are some texture parts in the lower part of the faces that get a special treatment which causes this type of bug. Anyway I don't have problems with flickering objects in far distance.

That is what it looks like:

I would be glad if anyone has an idea or already had this kind of problem and found a solution.:blooming:

This is eiter a problem with the shadowing I suppose. Try to turn off the shadows completely and check if the textures are still black. Then turn the shadows up step by step.

Thanks for the hint.
Now I solved the problem. It was not the shadowing.
I played arround with the graphics options for a while.
Seems like turned on water reflection has caused the glitch.
Strange behavior.

For others who are facing that kind of glitch:
You can max out all graphical detail except water reflection. This has to be disabled.

Just in case someone is reading this. I also had some performance issues no matter what graphics settings I was using. I also found a solution for that.
You can install this FPS Mods:

For me it solved all performance issues and I can play with 40 FPS without any problems.

A big thank you goes out to the community that constantly fixes the PB games and makes them worth playing.

I had same problem and tried what you said truning off water reflections and that worked, definitely a weird bug though. I have a EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 so definitely not my card that caused the issue.
