I cant free Hawkins (Sword Coast) with the key for his cell because I dont have Pickpocketing?

Hi everybody. So the first time I went thru Tacarigua, I learned Pickpocketing. And then I realized that I spent 1000 gold, when gold was scarse, in order to get a return of some 200 gold from the people I could Pickpocket on Tacarigua. And I thought, not a good investment, at least not yet. So I reload a previous save and I DO NOT learn Pickpocketing at this time. I will get it later on in the game.

Fast forward to the Sword Coast. Now, like I said, I reloaded my game and DID NOT learn Pickpocketing on Taracigua. But on the Sword Coast, I have the opportunity to Pickpocket Cooper and Slick AS IF I HAD the Pickpocketing skill. Which, according to my skill list, I dont. So, I destroy the Earth Elemental, and its time to gather a crew. Hawkins, the pirate cook in jail, will join my crew if I let him escape. Sebastiano has the key, and according to a Risen Wiki, I have to Pickpocket it from him. But I cant. This "phantom" Pickpocket ability I have only worked on those 2 people. So I go to see Jim, in the native village, so he can teach me Pickpocket.

Lo and behold, I CANNOT learn Pickpocket from Jim. According to him, I already HAVE the Pickpocketing skill, which I dont. But he would be happy to make me a BETTER Pickpocket if I pay him 1000 gold and have the skill Pickpocket AS A PREREQUISITE.

So, here I am. I dont have the Pickpocket skill at all, so I cant get the key to free Hawkins. But I have some form of "phantom" Pickpocket that lets me steal from Cooper and Slick w/o having the actual skill. And when I go see Jim so I can learn Pickpocket, so I can free Hawkins, Jim says that he can only make me a BETTER Pickpocket because I have that "phantom" Pickpocket skill, which doesnt show up on my skill list, but I have to have as a prerequisite for Jim to teach me Pickpocketing, even though there is only ONE LEVEL of pickpocketing.

So, has anyone had this problem before? Is there a way to fix it w/o me reloading Taracigua and doin the Sword Coast all over again? A fix-it code? Can I leave the Sword Coast in my ship WITHOUT Hawkins? Or I am I stuck here, vicitm of a faulty game code and in a Catch 22 that I can never get out of? Please help so I dont have to redo the whole Sword Coast again.

1. type "pommes" gotta be fast
2. open console with ";"
3. type "edit PC_Hero" go to "PropertySets" then "Skills"
4. in the right collumn find "PerkCunningPickpockets" and change it to 1.

I have no idea if this is going to work but it might. Also save before you do it.

There is a cannon on one of the towers that can be fired. With it you can destroy the back of Hawkins cell.

pickpocketing caused me to uninstall this game, just froze up everytime I tried to use it.
