Yikes. Not for me at all.

The atmosphere was solidly spooky, so I'm really disappointed that there didn't seem to be much more to this game. I also didn't find anything 'psychedelic' about this game. Maybe the Dev meant 'psychological' horror? Didn't find much of that either.

There is an ax man who wanders around and you're supposed to figure out what to do while he's pursuing you since the game 'does not hold your hand'. Well great, but if all this is going to be is some sort of convoluted scavenger hunt/guessing game-- could we at least have a gamma slider so we can actually SEE where to look? Jesus.

Not knowing where to go or what to do or why is not fun for this pastel pixie. Sorry, friends. :(

Where do I begin? All you can do is run away from the hatchet man. There is no stealth mechanics or hiding mechanics, just run away until the game decides for dumb reasons that he isn't chasing you anymore. I have no idea what I am supposed to do - made all the more frustrating because all I can do is run from the stupid lumberjack rather than figure out what I am supposed to do. When I do get a breather and can search buildings, it's way too dark to see anything and there are no gamma settings.

Additional Notes:

I got past the first part posted above. The game doesn't get any better. The story is a confusing mess. The puzzles are mostly stupid scavenger hunts. Most of the horror/deaths are mostly caused by the game being asinine.

TLDR: Cat&Mouse island exploration with a few landmarks and paper notes. Unity engine. Small scale. Insta-death when spotted.

Reminds me a bit of Dear Esther, but with less interesting topography and the odd monster thrown in. Would rather not deal with the frustration of retrying and the guesswork of finding my way around and the correct progression.

+ Graphics, story (even though overly vague), and horror atmosphere are really nice.
Unfortunatelly the gameplay and mechanics are very flawed to be an enjoyable game to play:
- - puzzles hardly make any sense
- - sometimes you die out of nowhere
- - unskippable, slow, unnecessary and somewhat long cutscenes
- - worst of all: there's no save so whenever you die you need to play the level ALL OVER from scratch

The team has potential. I hope they learn from these details and achieve their true potential the following games.

Sorry to say, but this is one of those cheap "horror games".

For reasons unknown, you wake up on a misty island.
There's a note for you, letting you know that the person who wrote it (your... wife?), cba waiting for you there any longer.
Following the road, you can spot nearby wooden houses and also someone else walking the very same road.
Could this be the person who wrote you that note?
You walk up to them. And...
... SLASH!!
Suddenly you have an axe attached to your chest.
This, not so friendly, lumberjack was most likely not the note writer.
Especially considering the textile sack they've got pulled down over their head, which you don't see until they've grabbed you.
What kind of psychotic killer walks on the roads instead of hiding in the shadows, lurking behind bushes and trees?
Would have been neat had somebody warned me about these "road walkers".
Not what you would expect from a horror game.

It's like the Grudge but instead of seeking vengeance over your violent murder, you just lost your fave shoes :(

Made in Unity Crash (excuse me - Personal) Edition. Because first time i exited the game it crashed. The ambience in this game is not bad but there arent many things to do. Its just a first person walking horror puzzle simulator. Very linear, very poor. Should be free or maybe 1 usd.

Give me something, anything.

I woke up(of course I did) on an island. No explanation was given, no reason for being there. Took a couple of steps down the pathway and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with an axe killed me. Much like the invisible protagonist, I could find no motivation to continue. At least give me drop of motivation for why I'm supposed to hide from that jackass and explore the place. Why can't I just get on the boat and ♥♥♥♥ off?
