Arkane Austin closing down

So any hope for Dishonored 3 is basically gone

Yeah... kinda sad to see the news. The other studios is also bad news, but arkane it just hits different.

Dark messiah of might and magic, great game when it launched, also one of the first games i bought here.

Played some other games from the studio, but dishonored franchise was the GOAT for me. Specially 1 and 2.

Arkane Austin didn't make Dishonored. They made Prey. Arkane Lyon make Dishonored. Still very sad news.

It was a joint collaboration between both studios. But without one side now seems pretty much as if they are dead

whos to say lyon isnt next? ms has 0 reason to shut down these studios

the people in the studio now are not all of those who made these games, the quality reflects that, still a shame we couldn't get another prey

Dishonored 1 was done by both studios while Lyon made Dishonored 2 and DotO.

Also Harvey Smith, director of D1 and 2 was at Arkane Austin at the time of its closure.

they both contributed, from what I was able to gather. Harvey Smith worked at the Austin studio and was instrumental in the production of all three Dishonored games.

It does however, make a lot of money.

I mean it doesn't really matter, because MC owns the IP both lyon and Austin could be shuttered and we will may still get a dishonored game it may be terrible though and not an immersive sim. which would make put me in a grumpy mood for at-least a week.
