Wait... Delilah is back?
So, I have not been following this game that much because I pretty much stopped the process of watching/reading everything about games before they release a while back. I see the initial trailers, put them on my list, and wait near the release date.

But now I saw some new commercials and trailers since the release date is close, and I'm confused - Delilah is back and is the main villain? And Corvo loses powers?

Like, why in the world? If this is true, I hate when things feel like they're being retconned in a series (such as Delilah's small DLC story) or reset (such as Corvo's power).

From what I can read online, with the basic premise of the plot, it seems like Delilah magically appears and takes Emily's position... Again, why?! Delilah is not a fitting main villain, especially after being one only in a DLC and getting locked up.

Dishonored 1 low chaos ending is cannon
Crovo spares Daud, Daud traps delilah in the void

how come she gets out of the void and traps Emily... well that's just the developer forced to milk the franchise (don't blame Arkane, they now have a contract with Zeniscmuck and bugthesda)

i hope there will be a good explanation in the story, if not...
well you'ed still enjoy a superb stealth hack and slash with guns and magic

Corvo's reset is nearly confirmed to be because of Delilah. From what I can tell, Daud forcibly linked Delilah to the Void and through this caused her to gain part of the Outsider's power. That is why she is back. This is only speculation, so we wont' know till the game's release.

Yeah, I just about hate any story (movie, game, book, whatever) that chooses to trap a villain at some point, and then release them later on if they feel like it. And I actually didn't like Delilah that much as a character in general when I played the DLC from the first game.

I guess that is more explanation of the "how" it could happen. I just wish they didn't go this route if so.

I'm not very interested in fighting Delilah again too but at least her witches minions seem pretty interesting.

Delilah was a boring villain, but then again, there were all boring.

Havent gotten around to the dlc yet (yes, I know I'm missing out) but I found her entire buildup and the final confrontation to be pretty epic in the main game.

Well, that is true.

Well.. Delilah is rather powerful.. I think she could have had students/alies that could have helped her... Or maybe the outsider loves his games and released her..

How evil if that ended up being the case!

I'm not sure low chaos ending is canon necessarily. When I woke up in the void during my Corvo run the Outsider spoke as if he'd carved a bloody path through the conspirators, but that's Corvo... Daud's canon ending is clearly low chaos as evidenced by Delilah returning, and that makes sense. Repentant killer and all that.

They were puzzles that you could solve to get a rune. That's all. Just like how she gives Corvo tasks to get Runes in the main game.
