Is Doppelgänger useful in stealth / low-chaos / ghostly run?

I'm finally playing this game for the first time even though I had it since release.
I've made it out of the first mission, and finally can use powers, and I'm looking at the ones available. I've chosen Emily as I wanted to try a new character, though I think I'll miss Blink!

Anyway, I'm looking at Doppelgänger and I'm wondering if it has any uses for a ghost playthough. Apparently they can be used as a distraction, and it won't count as being detected if they are seen. Though this still seems a bit too chaotic for my taste. Also there doesn't seem to be an option to make them use non-lethal takedowns?

I'm mostly curious if Transposition can get you places that far reach can't, like a more convoluted Blink.

You can use level 1 doppelganger with domino to chain it to other people and knock your doppelganger out knocking them all out.

I tried it and it's underwhelming. You will more or less create a Doppleganger in front of an enemy, everyone goes on high alert, and enemies will instantly be more cautious and set alarms off in calm areas - this can lead to NPC's noticing you even if you are highly elevated. It is not a stealth power.

Doppleganger is really good on lethal runs, though, where the bodies that it creates don't count as your own body count. Also, Bright Moon is amazing with this power - insane one shots even if it isn't a backstab. I would recommend Falling Star on all Doppleganger runs, as you can kill your body double and actually get mana back if you crafted the x4 bone charm.

I wonder how Emily's powers feel tbh.... I personally never got to use them as I played with her using no powers on my first playthrough
