Agreed. This has been driving me crazy. Feels like the spy glass filter is stuck to on at all times!

That's Corvo's mask optics isnt it?

I´m playing with Emily.
But it doesnt matter, it look awfull, its like playing with dirty glasses and not taking your time to clean them up....
In the first game you didn´t have this effect. The worst is that its allways present, even in low light.

.... this doesn't happen to me. At all. Ever.

...

Are you using HBAO+, maybe?
Walsa Nov 14, 2016 @ 7:34pm
it´s disabled

That's not dirt. Wouldn't that be the Lens Flare effect? Maybe try disabling that. *shrug*

Its not a lense flare, it is an overlayed texture that is more prominent when looking to a light source, but its allways present.

here, you can se the same dots in the right side of the image.

Well, that sucks. I was looking forward to playing this game this weekend on my new gfx card; and with a new card--you know the feeling--everything is supposed to look crisp, clear, and vibrant. Oh, well...

Yup those pics are exactly it. I noticed it as soon as I booted up the training, and it has yet to go away.

Seeing the lack of a solution, I'm guessing there is no way to remove this effect? It annoys the heck outta of me as well. At first I thought it was lens flare but turning off the option did nothing.

Disable bloom.

I'm seriously holding off on playing this game until this is fixed. Can we tweet at anyone?
