Whenever i start the installer it just keeps searching for updates on the computer, it doesn't actually begin.. Is it normal?

Try going to Start->Control Panel-> Change view in upper right to small icons-> Administrative tools->services
Once there look for Windows Update and right click->properties
Stop the service
Once it's stopped try running the update again. This is a fairly common problem when trying to run standalone windows update installers. Normally this will resolve it. Good Luck!

Hi, I wanted to thank you for posting this, I was going crazy with the update installation not working.

Now, let's see if that update fixes the problem...

Why it doesn't work for me? :/
ecznos Dec 27, 2016 @ 5:27am
What's the error exactly? It should work after you update windows.
Bluelocks Dec 27, 2016 @ 7:21am
I installed the file (Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64) and restarted my computer but nothing has changed. There's still the black screen and the window where's written "D3D11 CreateDeviceAndSwapChain FAILED with error (-2005270524). Please check your GPU" etc.
Is it because it's another error?

Is your GPU up to date?
Bluelocks Dec 28, 2016 @ 2:08am
I checked and I think my GPU doesn't support DirectX 11.1, so maybe this is the problem. Is there something I can do?

It's a NVIDIA GeForce 315

The GeForce 315 does not support DirectX 11. It supports only 10.1, that's probably your reason why you can't play dishonored 2.
