Is the demo patched along with the game?

Did they update the demo each time they patched the game or is the demo just a previeew of the first version of the game? I was wondering if the god awfuol performance was fixed because thats why im not buying the game because the demo runs like garbage. it runs smooth until I get to an open area then the fps tanks hard.

I do believe that people have said that the demo runs worse than the main game so I think it's not patched. Dishonored 2 also has a beta for the main game which improves performance.

I see on the Dishonored 2 website it says you can play the free trial and it just says to get it you download it from steam which is the trash demo. They shoiuld make a disclaimer saying warning the demo is trash and most likely so is the game even if you have a good computer.

Runs fine for me. Right click it in libary for beta under properties but you don't own the game so...

You could always try it. If it runs badly, as long as you don't exceed 2hrs you can get a refund from Steam.

It's too expensive here. I can buy a key elsewhere for like ten bucks. I just dont want to get ripped off ten bucks if the game runs like ass in wide open areas like it does in the demo.

LOL. The game has been released a lot of time ago. Nobody don't work on demo optimization because that's bad approach and require sources.
Just buy this game on the sale and enjoy.

Full game works perfect.
Yes, sometimes happens fps drops but the game has good perfomance mostly.

Your PC must be bad. GTX 1060 6GB and Ryzen 5 2600 here and the game runs fine 60+ fps most of the time on very high/high settings. I get some drops into the 40's on certain parts, but I put up with it since they're rare and it's a SP game. My PC isn't all that great, so if you have a better rig then I do, suck it up and turn some settings down. The optimization is way better than how it was when it first launched. It's a fantastic game and you'll be missing out on it if all you care about is maxing it out.
