Circle of Life achievement, but not at Royal Conservatory
Want to get the achievment, but reloading mission 5 I saw that i don't have the possesion power. And sadly my runes are not enough to get it. Also there aren't enough runes in the mission for gathering...

Is there any other mission in which it is possible to create this possesion link between dog, bloodfly, human, rat and fish? Would be great if anybode knows a way.

Hope that I don't have to restart the game and play until mission 5 to get the achievement.,

I think that this Achievement needs a level which offers all of those Creatures. So you can actually proceed through the game until u unlock possession. I tried to unlock the achievement myself, not sure if I got it tho. Have to check. But I think i did it in the Royal conservatory as well. U can also try the Dunwall District in the end game. I think witches do count as humans as well, if not u can use the hattered gang

I just checked and yes, it indeed is mission 5 I used. But maybe you can cheat ur way through. I'm not sure if Mission two already contained a Wolfdog. But so, use Emily and new game plus, get the dog, find a fish on the docks, kill a civilian so he turns into blood flies and find some nearby rats at the docks you'll spawn at when beginning the mission. But since I doubt that there's a dog in mission two it could not work out

Pretty sure mission 5 is the only mission this is possible in. I did this on it's own playthrough as you need a few runes in possession by mission 5.

I did it in mission 8 yesterday. The Grand Palace. Took a few tries but it was worth it. It can be a little tricky.

This is what I did step by step:

1. Equipped the charm that turns enemies first ranged shots to bloodflies.
2. Unlocked Devouring Swarm.
3. Equipped charm that lets human host sprint while possessed and another charm that lets you possess animals for longer.

Now, you should get accustomed to the layout of the plan. The front of the palace has 2 pools on either side of the pathway and the yard has 3 blue guards and 1 red guard. Once you cross this porch area you can open a door to find the large dining room with a hound sitting in the right corner.

So here's the method I followed:

1. Take out the 3 blue guards and leave the red guard alone. There are a few things I want to note here. Firstly, taking out the blue guards is necessary because otherwise the scene becomes a hot mess and they often kill rats and bloodflies before you can do the loop. Secondly, summoning a swarm of rats anywhere near these bodies will make the rats devour them instead of standing where they are summoned. So take care of the 3 bodies.

2. Once courtyard is clear (only red guy remaining), summon a swarm of rats somewhere on the white path beside the pool and quicksave. Make sure they stay in place.

3. Run towards the red guard and promptly run away towards the pool fast, so that he initiates the ranged attack and also make sure he can hit you.

4. His shot will turn into bloodflies upon hitting you. At this point, I think it is worth mentioning, the game sends out 2 more blue guards from within the palace who do not exist otherwise. Hence it is advisable to summon the swarm of rats as much away from the main door as possible.

5. Possess bloodfly. Fly to pool.

6. Possess fish. Go as close to the rat swarm as possible.

7. Possess rat. Run up the stairs.

8. Possess any of the 3 human and SPRINT towards the palace dining room door.

9. Turn right and possess hound just in the nick of time.

And that's it. The timing will be a little tricky and you need a little trial and error, but this is full proof.

That is a damn good plan, thanks mate! Very good idea with the bonecharms. Didn't think about that before.

Thanks, didn't see a dog there, so it's impossible.

You are welcome! I just made this into a guide as I was quite stumped in my playthrough and although I got hints from the internet that it's possible in Mission 8, I never found a good solution. Youtube has some videos but they never matched with my game, as in either rats or hounds were missing. Anyway here's the guide link with a picture for reference:

outstanding plan! in my case the dog was already outside and I changed the order to BF-human-dog-fish-rat; also, I didn't need mind runner but the idea worked sooo well.
thank you!!!

Very interesting that there was a dog outside. I don't know why this stuff keeps changing. I have seen some videos where there are a couple of rats in the front of the palace, or there is a lone dog beside the swimming pool near the bloodfly den, but I never encountered them in my playthroughs.
