February may have looked quiet from the outside…

It wasn’t.

A lot of behind-the-scenes polish has gone into making Little Devil smoother, smarter and far more controller-friendly.

Here’s what’s been happening in Hell:

Some of you may have noticed enemy health bars weren’t behaving properly.

They are now.

Demons can no longer hide their suffering.

Snout Fiend now has a brand new attack.

Encounters should feel less predictable and a little more chaotic (in a good way… probably).

All enemies have had improvements to their wandering behaviour.

Less robotic.
More natural.
More “I might ruin your day at any moment.”

It’s subtle, but it makes the world feel much more alive.

The Jester Demon finally moves like he means it.

A full movement animation has been added, giving him far more personality (and menace).

Controller support is now fully implemented.

Tested with:

• Keyboard & Mouse

• PS5 Controller

Configured for:

• Steam Deck

• Switch Pro Controller

• Xbox Controllers

• Generic Controllers

(These are configured and mapped, but not yet fully hardware tested.)

Controllers can now:

• Move with left analogue

• Aim with right analogue

• Navigate menus

• Interact fully with the UI

• Fully Control the Player

This is a major step toward wider accessibility and eventual release.

A brand new aiming reticule has been added specifically for controller users.

• It appears automatically when a controller is detected.

• It disappears when switching back to Keyboard and Mouse.

• Right analogue stick controls aiming direction.

This keeps mouse gameplay precise while giving controller users full control without compromise.

The Controls menu now detects connected controllers and allows you to cycle between them.

No unplugging.
No restarting.
No demon sacrifices required.

The submission process for a Little Devil Beta build on Steam has officially begun.

Opening the gates soon.

Pray for stability.

And outside the game…

The Little Devil webcomic is about to hit Page 100.

One hundred pages of demons, bad decisions, and questionable life choices.

If you haven’t read it yet, it’s a prequel story set in the same universe as the game.

(And yes… things are escalating.)

Hello everyone, Michael here!

Here we have the State of the game for January 2026!

So, let's dig in!

We have a couple new Stackable upgrades joining Little Devil. With all 3 levels done, they will also work with the One Hit Wonders (like Split Personality, Mirror Shot etc)

So, do you remember playing the old games in the 90s like Streets of Rage, Sonic the hedgehog etc and they all seemed to have a score system at the end of each level? Well... Little Devil now has that too!

I will say, don't be too alarmed by that time bonus. When I recorded this video I didn't realise I had the enemies and time bonuses switched on accident. It has been fixed since then!

You may remember these menu and options from the last update. Well, I have now sorted out the functionality of it properly, allowing for the difficulty setting to modify the enemies a bit. As well as all of the gameplay options. Simple put, the menu is now fully functional! Also, I noticed that dash was missing from the controls page, so, that has been added in!

So, we have some new enemies designed, they are not full implemented yet. I need to sort out some animations for them, then place them into the game, sort out their stats/attack patterns etc. Here are the new designs though!

This is the maniacal Jester Demon! Don't let his clownish face fool you, he is not here to party!.. or maybe he is?...

Despite his name, this TV demon is not your pal! He can be found in some regions of Hell but not others. He leaves the other regions to his brother..

This is Pal Demons brother, he can be found in different regions to Pal Demon and is thought to be a little bit faster.

I have started work on the platform integration for Little Devil as well. Not really got any pictures for this but basically, I have created a platform integration manager to allow me to place in the Steam platform integration code etc, to access the correct saves and other information needed. As well as this, I have set this up in a way so that, if it becomes possible later, I should be able to seemlessly add in other platform integration without causing issues. Planning for the future!

This does also mean that, soon, there will be some screenshots etc going out on the social accounts directly from Steam tests of this game.. It also means I should, with any luck, be getting a private testing version of Little Devil published soon too!
