Secret Files Tunguska - Glitch?

Need some help here. I'm playing Max, trying to get the guy out of the well. I've put the amulet on the statue, but the round door at the end of the tunnel still won't open. There's some rubble and it says there's been a cave-in. I must have done something in the wrong order. Any ideas? Thanks.

Got the exact same problem right now. Did you solve it?
Walkthroughs don't help, they tell me just to open the door.
I believe you're supposed to finish Ninas scenario first, even if it makes no sense for the door to be unlocked like this.
