my save files are gone

I’ve run into an issue with my save files. I had played the game for 32 hours prior to the latest update—completing the entire main story and leaving only the side quests received via the pigeon—but now my saves are completely gone! Following the patch released on October 15–16, the `Player.json` file has vanished entirely.
I’ve been playing on a single computer, and Steam Cloud synchronization is enabled, yet my saves are nowhere to be found. What should I do? I have no desire to replay 32 hours from the very beginning; this is outrageous.

You can check if you save files are still on the cloud. If it is, you can download it manually. You have to login your steam account via web browser.

Your other option is to reach out to the devs via their Discord channel.

Unfortunately, the files aren't in the Steam Cloud; I’ve already checked and downloaded the latest saves from there, but it’s still empty...

oh geeze... the steam cloud is super buggy and something similar has happened to me on a different game- i'm very sorry this happened to you. unfortunately i don't think there's anything that can be done if they aren't showing in the steam cloud and you don't have that folder backed up...

i'm not sure how possible this is, but IF one could give you a copy of their save, just so you don't have to unlock everything again, would that help at all? i'd hate for you to stop making dresses cuz of this setback.
