Where is the rest of the game?

Where is it?

It just sort of ended with nothing resolved. Did the devs just get bored with making the game or something?

I was enjoying the game, but now I feel dumber for having played it. If I'd known they were just going to stop making it partway through, I wouldn't have wasted my time or money on it.

I have to agree it felt really short especially for the price. Having said that the story ends with Arslan defeating Hilmes and reclaiming his land im curious in what way was the story not resolved?

He didn't reclaim his land. He reclaimed one single fortress. Hilmes and all the principle enemies escaped. Most of the kingdom is still under Luisitanian control. The game ends with him saying they should go liberate the capital. The narrator literally says there were still many more obstacles for him to overcome before he would become Shah. But we don't get to know what these obstacles were. We don't get to know how the war resolved. We don't get any resolution to dozens of subplots. It just.... stops. Like they couldn't be bothered to have an ending, so they just said "♥♥♥♥ it, let's just put the credits over the last cutscene we made."

they didn't get bored, they're following the Anime it's based upon. The anime ended the same way, a 2nd season is in the making.

Yes. Its great. Its the reason I bought the game.
However.... Arslan is at least a 99% more useless character in the anime. Just go in knowing hes a child being mostly used by those around him.(Even for good and or his own interests) Not the fighter this game somewhat makes him out to be.

I felt he grew up a bit by the end of the anime and made some realizations about how naive he was and how he needed to take control and take responsibility a bit.

Yep. Another coming of age story. A classic narative that will never get old.

Is the anime ending were the book did fact or... like would it maybe do what SoulEater did and write its own ending?

The issue is that they're adapting a 15 novel series into an anime, then into a game. It's kind of like how the first DBZ Budokai game only went up to Cell, or just how much of The Lord of the Rings got cut out in its movie and game adaptations.
