How is Gumblaster Mayhem going?

Hello everyone! I hope everyone here is doing really well. I just want to share a little update on how Gumblaster Mayhem is going. I would like to say that the game is going pretty smoothly, slowly admittedly (lol), but pretty smoothly. I'm going to lie though, there have been good days and bad days (and sometimes even stressful days), but we just have to keep going and never give up really.

For the development side of things, I have been working so hard on the level designs, the models, the animations for the enemies, and the music background of the game. Trying my best to fit with the style of the game (if you know what I mean lol).

Here are a few of the level designs that you may not have seen or haven't seen the changes yet (or you may have seen from social platforms):

If you have been keeping up with the updates of the game on social platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, etc. I would like to say thank you so much for the support so far on this journey.

About the release date for the full version of the game, I can't promise a date exactly, and I want to take my time to work on the game to make it as great as possible by not rushing it. But hopefully, it will come out by the end of this year (again not promising on that). I would probably make an announcement about it anyway at some point in the future, so stay tuned for that.

And lastly, if anyone has been playing the Gumblaster Mayhem Playtest (please do try it out if you haven’t already), I would like to say thank you so much for playing the playtest. And many more thanks to anyone who left me a feedback either in the form (in the playtest) or on social platforms (anything helps). This will help me to prepare for the proper demo release and the full version of the game.

I will try my best to do more little updates about the game here. If I don’t though, just be aware that I might be busy working on the game or with other things like making yet another video about the game for YouTube, TikTok, etc.

Gumblaster Mayhem Discord Server is NOW PUBLIC!

Hello everyone! I just want to announce that Gumblaster Mayhem now has a Discord Server. To be honest, it was private for a while and was only limited to friends and family, but now I want to make this server public to everyone else.

Feel free to join the server if…

You want to get instant updates on the game’s development before everybody else.
You want to see behind the scenes of the game.
You’re interested in sharing some screenshots of the game.
You want to report any bugs that you have found in the game.
You want to leave any feedback or suggestions that could help to improve the game.
You want to know about any upcoming events.
Sharing your own creation and getting feedback (because I would like to see them).

I think this is a great way to communicate about the game in real time, so basically direct interaction with me as a developer of the game (and I'm good at getting back to everyone). If you do join the server, I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

Also, I just want to say thank you so much to anyone who has played the playtest and to those others who have filled in the feedback form. If you do fill in the feedback form or leave any feedback or bug reports, you will be credited in my game as a “Playtester” (but only if you play the playtest version of the game, not any future release like a more polished demo or the full version of the game).

Gumblaster Mayhem Playtest is NOW LIVE!

Hey everyone! I just want to announce that the [url]Gumblaster Mayhem Playtest is officially now live.[/url] Visit the store page to join the playtest and it's public to everyone.

In the playtest, you can only play one level, and it’s the town level “Town Square”, which would be the very first level that you play if you get the full version in the future.

Once you finished the playtest, it would be really appreciated if you fill in the feedback form. The feedback form should be in the playtest.

I want to leave a side note for some people who may have played the old alpha-like demo/playtest back on itch.io. There may be less levels this time around, but I just want to focus on the quality side of the game, including the more recent additional features, such as the presents and the boss, which also means I need some time to rework those levels. But they will all be there in the full release.

I also want to leave another side note that the UIs might be slightly rough around the edges, as the playtest is mostly focusing on the gameplay and making sure it's fun enough for the players. However, if you do find any bugs, glitches or performance issues, please let me know when doing the feedback form.

Also, you can play the game either with a mouse & keyboard or a gamepad, and there were some changes to the fonts from the latest trailer, but screenshots will be replaced soon.

And having a playtest now means this game won’t be in Steam Next Fest February 2026 as I don’t think the game is quite there yet, but I’ll let everyone here be a judge of that.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this playtest. :)
