I play them all, usually at random. That said, Cybran get most of the really cool toys, for example; NEVER nuke a cybran :D. Aeon get teleport which is also amazingly good, and UEF multi-task. If you just want to play one, pick which one suits your style the most I suppose.

If you like raiding, take cybran, for lots of cheap units, take UEF, for more powerful units, go for aeon.

Depends on how you play... I play single player occasionally... Usually play the UEF versus Cybran.

It depends on how you focus your army.

whoooo cares : cybran : naval dominion, air regular, ground dominion in numbers + their robots can last longer and they can use megashield :)

I prefer Cybrans. Research takes time but the big ones like monkeylord or soulripper are op. So if you can stand your ground till you finished research...win ;-)

I'm one of the few Aeon/Illuminate players though I mostly play random. I like playing the religious weirdos with fancy, aerodynamic designs rather than the oh-so-generic UEF. I'm pretty sure if you did a survey into the demographics you'd have a large majority preferring the UEF, followed by Cybran and Illuminate far behind.

What Baldrickk posted above about faction strengths is hilariously wrong. The way the factions stack up is

- UEF: Most powerful, slowest units, meant for head-on confrontations. The best faction for turtling in your base.

- Cybran: Versatile units focused on speed, special abilities and guile meant for guerilla warfare rather than direct combat. Very impressive offensive experimentals and powerful research skills for unlocking them.

- Illuminate: The get-in-your-face highly aggressive gameplay faction. These guys don't sit around building sand castles, they move for the kill right away. Highly mobile units centered around teleportation technology. Also specializes in reconnaisance/espionage. Powerful air force.

UEF are not most powerful, but they spam units very well.

you seem to me to be confirming what I said,
