Land Illuminate vs Cybran Naval I think Cybran naval wins just because cybran naval units have a medium to long range and pack a punch especially their destroyers
please give me a break!
Either one knows since the Cyrban naval units are a medium tier on damage and cost less then UEF naval units.
cybran naval units can be quickly produced and made for a great defense and offense against anything
You name it? Water, Land, and Air!
trust me I know what I am talking about got a good amount of hours on my belt to atleast know which units are better.
136 hours is not that much. I have more than 10 times that many and I'm still a noob compared to a lot of very good players. You'll excuse me if I take your post with a grain or three of salt.
Nobody mentioned any of those. Moreover, I haven't seen any of those 3 techs used in an online game....almost ever. The only one I've ever seen in multiplayer is the triton, and that was mostly because the game was already won and the trident was built just to goof off.
Subs are dirt cheap compared to destroyers. With old eco, you could sustainably spam subs from 4 factories, whereas you could only spam destroyers from 2 factories. New eco has changed this, allowing cybran to get more facs, but UEF can do the same. Cruisers are just a little more expensive than destroyers, and battleships cost the same on both sides.
Yes, cybran navy is good in general against many types of threats, but there are still lots of things that beat it. Sub spam, Ac1k, land experimentals with a solid escort to draw fire (vs walking ships), and well-micro'd aeon tanks can easily rip through a cybran navy, especially if it hasn't reached critical mass yet. It takes a ton of skill and a fair bit of luck for cybran to beat uef navy head-to-head, and typically the win is easier achieved by lots of flanking/runby type moves, making use of ship speed upgrade and legs, rather than a frontal assault.
Moving onto land with walking ships at the wrong time can be a fatal mistake.
Cybran navy is really best used in meta-game situations, e.g., you know your aeon opponent likes to open air vs cybran, so you open with destroyers for good aa coverage and then push over the land. This is map- and matchup-dependent, of course, but it can really catch the opponent off-guard.
