Cheers appreciate the response. I've been playing the campaign with the "Scale Mod + FA Economy" but honestly I can't tell if it's actually doing anything. Oh well. Thanks anyway!
Mods will not affect the campaign,
unless the mod is specifically designed for it.
Afaik, the campaign has separate files for as good as everything.
So trying to start a campaign mission with a mod enabled,
will most likely not do anything at all, or it will result in a crash.
In any case, it would take a ton of extra work,
to make a mod work for both skirmish and campaign;
while most people dont play this game for the campaign anyways..
So from a modder's perspective, its not really worth it..
Already finished replaying the campaign more than a week ago, but thanks for the response.
Not sure why you were thinking I had an expectation for the mod to be made to work for the campaign, though 😅 That would be ridiculous, the game is 14 years old and the mod itself hasn't been updated in something between 3-6 years at least so...yeah.
Well, i have been gradually working on a new mod for quite some time, (STORM)
so its just an explanation for why mods wont work with the campaign. (not just RVE)
As you say, this game is quite old, but its also quite "modding-unfriendly"..
I have tried to mod the campaign before, but it wouldnt work.
I probably did something wrong, but it is also quite possible,
that properly modding the campaign (without any bugs) is simply impossible..
(who knows, since nobody has actually made a campaign mod for this game..)
Anyways.. i wasnt thinking that you expected the mod to work for the campaign,
i was explaining why nobody should expect any mods to work with the campaign. :)
XD Fair enough, I totally get that! Also you're awesome for working on a mod for this game, I appreciate it! I've started hosting LAN parties recently and SupCom 2 is one of the games we've played a few times, we haven't tried playing with STORM yet but it was already on the list for next time. I'm glad the game still has a community that cares about it, thanks very much 🙏
