MrStealurGurl, a.k.a. StealSpeaks made a video explaining this exactly.
Most things people perceive as "cheating" is usually just superior skill and build orders, or eventually glitches due to latency issues.
Unless that particular player (i think i know who) is seriously attempting of starting a "Witchhunt", i'd just ignore them.
Thanks for the link. Sadly the replay was desynched, probably due to a sudden disconnect from my opponent.
The issue in question was related to my tank assault encountering enemy magnetrons. The magnets engaged, pulling my tanks in, but most of my units got caught on the flat wall of research stations between them and the magnets. Ironically, the use of the magnets actually helped my attack, as it pulled my tanks straight past the perimeter defenses and into the enemy base, where they ended up right next to my opponent's ACU. The resulting temper tantrum was... impressive.
What you are claiming is lacking any factual foundation.
You can make many assumption why this game "died" (There are hardly any other RTS games of this age having a playerbase as big as this one, if you save FAF and the BlizzCrafts), but cheating is defenitly not a thing.
It tookt quite some time until the first "cheats" for online matchmaking came up, and even among those, diversity is scarce (actually, nearly all of them are either research or resource cheats).
I'm not saying you lied, i can't spot any evil intention, but what you are saying is just not true either.
You know what? I'm one this cheater and glad to kill your game.
I could ruin once again but your game is dead anyway and you missed this game's gold era if your steam profile 5 years old.
After seeing players like you in game, you make me happy for ruining games)
"German kid"? Oh, yes, everything i've done so far supports the assumption i'm actually 12 years old and have no business here in the forums with the "Big guys". You compromised my cover, good job!
Also... Oh, yes, my steam account, which i HAD to create because i wanted to play my physical retail copy of Portal 2... yes, it is merely 5 years old. But, oh my... i just mentioned physical copies of games... ringing some bells?
Oh, and when have we ever met each other ingame? Unless you changed your name extremly frequent (and your profile picture aswell), i can not recall having ever met you on the battlefield.
Sorry, but you're lowering the argumentative level on exactly that "kiddie" level you were blaming me to be on. Usually, i would now just assume you're a troll or something of the like, coming from the CoH2 or whatever forums (in difference to you, i'm not that fond of stalking) to wreak some havoc here. And my usual reaction to trolls is just ignoring them, as they are not worth my attention.
But i'll bo honest: I think you migth be a troll, but still are serious about what you're claiming here. Saying that this is a dead game. Really?
A game with an active pro-scene, an average player count way over that of many "recent" RTS titles, a modding scene that released a new map pack just 2 weeks ago... Yes, seems defenitly dead to me.
But please don't try responding to this... i'm above talking to someone who claims to be cheating in multiplayer, whether merely bragging or actually doing it. All players deteste those script-kiddie scrubs, and if you really want to be counted to them... let the majority of people decide.
I will not even bother with reading your useless post like a losser of a dead game.
