I've also been thinking Irisu might be a reference to Alice in Wonderland, her chapter is titled Irisu in Wonderland, and as if that wasn't clear enough, in japanese Alice is pronounced "arisu"
And then there's her outfit which just screams "white rabbit"...
She's got the headband and she's blonde but that's about it... She's more like a slighly grown up but still little version of the professor/Hakase from Nichijou than Shimakaze.
