And its technically not even wrong lol.
The strongest aspects in this game are basically everything else.
Music (arguabley the top); menu interface, difficulty modes, speedrun modes, gameplay, ingame menu interface, skill menu if you forgot, etc.
A tragedy happened that caused all bunnies to go extinct and Noah to leave the "island" while erasing peoples memories. She wants to return to them and help them remember, or at least tell them what happened because she's lonely. Everything after this is theory.
In the past, there was a rabbit named Noah - who lived was Rumi's rabbit. Erina (playable one) is a real bunny but was artificially made, thus is a being of the "real world". This is beacuse she woke up in a hospital, assuming she was a bunny. But on the island, every other animal is a human. Thus she is the only one who thought bunnies weren't normally human.
Because Noah had erased everyone's memories, she cannot return them, thus created Erina to forge the relationships again by returning her to the island. There is also a mysterious force that prevents Noah from doing this herself.
This is why Rumi was able to recognize Erina, because Noah had previously looked like that. (Hence why Noah and Erina have the same dress in two CGs).
There are also other subtleties, like Noah seemingly knows Ribbon. She didn't want Ribbon with Erina because she would become a witness if Noah every replaced Erina.
I'm still not even sure what was causing the "bunny phenomenon" in the sky either.
So what is Erina, actually?
Is she like in the body of a copy but has part of the original soul? That would be a really strong cue to Megaman Zero..
This is getting deep. I did note some of the Megaman Zero references in my guide before it got bugged, but I thought that was only some of the gameplay aspects..
How does Illusion Alius factor in here, then?
Noah's magical practice on making a copy, before being successful with Erina?
We could probably make a story speculation guide on this.
There's a lot routes out there.. but I'm biased. I like to be optimistic and believe in Noah/True Route Erina and those pigtails.
IIRC Noah was in town at some point, so her fulfilling 'return' and her goal of amassing mana, was creating a solution to the barrier thing and recreate memories to everyone after she killed off the artifical clone (honestly the barrier thing whooshed me, I only cared about Noah). It might be because she has a guilty consience over some past and doing over her Rumi-senpai relationships are awfully hard for her.
..Since it's still open arms, maybe Irisu could turn out to be more suspiciously involved.
I don't have the guts to make a wiki or something for this, going on break anyway
Illusion Alius IV (the one in the Forgotten Area) a close second.
Irisu though, her HP Regen and Instant Death buffs are the ones making the battle hard.
You have to wonder what she did in the storyline to become that strong..
I don't buy the power of love for bunnies being that magical. XD
Keep in mind though irisu is also a bunny, AND she uses illusion magic, just like noah
Also, about the animals in the island, there are some enemies that are pretty much regular animals, I mostly assumed that the human animals had something to do with their magical affinity or something like that
