Can't beat Miriam (Normal) - Am I doing it wrong?

Spoiler warning, maybe? Not sure because I didn't pay much attention to the story.

Reaching the end(?) of the Hall of Memories, I can't even come close to winning this boss fight, I think at the very best I can get her down to roughly half HP.

Is there any silver bullet for getting through this one? I really don't want to turn the game down to casual.

In all cases I relied on Miru's buff and heavy dps rush to finish battle as fast as possible. For me it felt that it gets harder the longer you fight her.

Pick your badges wisely since she copies them. Aside from that pick up your needed buffs from town people and fight away.

You're going to have to deal with every attack if you searched for all items thoroughly. Do not possess any Cocoa bombs on you if you want to avoid suddenly getting bombed by her (unless you know it's coming and intend to use an amulet, but not having any bombs on you avoids that).

If you have a lot of items the only way to beat her is to practice her attacks (aside from brute forcing it via buffs and badge manipulation). It's a straight up mimic fight.

Aah I did not know that, I spent ages going around finding every item I could and fully stocking up on bombs. I'll drop the bombs, get Miru's buff and just try tearing into her, thanks guys.

It's not like she bombs that often, just one attack of many. It does however save a bunny amulet use if you're in need of any help you can get.

I know I did not know these critical details about her attack type (copying items you have) the first time I played. Got my rear handed to me due to that. She's not any more fun on Bunny Extinction (took several tries even WITH planning for me).

If you're fast enough you shouldn't ever see her bomb a second time, the first bomb isn't too far into the fight. Made me crazy every time the screen suddenly exploded without warning on my first playthrough.

She also uses a healing item late into her attack pattern if you possess any healing items.

Try going for Miriam with 0% items...it'll be a really funny fight, its like half her attack patterns are gone..and there's an achievement for that.

Didn't know that as well lol, spent so much time on Mirium that all my fingers are numb. I believed after a long while into the fight, Mirium get a defense nerf where my attack suddenly deal so much damage.
I was stocking bunch of healing item, and was having halo buff 3 :D

She copies your equipped badges. Try unequip all your +hp and +def badges and equip attack trade +25% dmg +50% inc.dmg badge, her health bar will not be that tough anymore. At least it helped me)

She gets defence drop debuff after the moment she used all your items, and then cycle continues. But at normal post game she wont survive that long against carrot shooter =)

All my badges were +HP & +DEF no wonder why it is so hard to kill her

I just beat her...but the other way around!!!

I tried at first doing the unequip HP and Def plus the attack trade +25% dmg +50% inc.dmg badge and no healing items. She would wipe the floor with me as soon as her special was up! (After this I just gave up till I read here that her defense would drop if one could survive the whole cycle of attacks).

So I did the other way around, I gave myself the most HP and defense I could and got the 2 Rumi cakes to heal myself (No donuts). I found (at least for me) that it was way easier to just survive the onslaught off all the items till her defense drop kicked in. After that just whale on her and I defeated her after as soon as her second special finished! :)

Last time I fought her(on Bunny Extinction mode), I was trying to tweak my badges to give me the most advantage, etc, etc. and not having any luck. Then I just took all my badges off, and it was way easier that way.
