Is there a way to repeat "Fairy Duo" and "The Escape" events?
Hi there,

I am asking because I fear I will need to "redo" the game just to get the 100% Map achievement. The only places I am missing % is on the area where you battle the Fairy Duo and the tile where you get the "Wind Blessing".

I plan on replaying the game on a New Loop, but having the Map already on 99.01%, it bothers me to have to redo the whole map again.

Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks a lot.

In other words, if you've already cleared chapter 10 then visit the Library and after the credits talk to Irisu in town to trigger chapter 9.

I'm pretty sure your map discovery carries over into NG+ as well, so there's generally no need to feel like you have to get it out of the way first either.

You are probably right about map carrying over to NG+, it has been long time when I last time did a loop, but because the tiles OP is missing are in the DLC area then that would require playing both main and post-game to even reach that point again. If your goal is to 100% the map before moving on then it seems unnecessary a lot of effort compared to defeating Irisu once for a reset.

Uh..
I am pretty sure defeating Chapter 10 final boss also makes the whole Ravine area accesible again (No Countdown active).

I am NOT sure if you could do the Fairy Duo fight again without first defeating Irisu though.

Yes, its true defeating Irisu is the way to reset most events...
But you can actually fight Chapter 10 final boss as many times as you want. No need to beat Irisu.
So I wonder if that also applies to Fairy Duo. I honestly never tried.

Also you dont need to trigger the Escape sequence to get to Wind Blessing, it is possible to get it before that, at least on higher difficulties (I dont think its possible on Casual since the wind is very weak there)

All in all:
Beating Irisu and starting the DLC from the very start is probably the safest method. Its only a tad slower.

You dont lose any map progress on a NG+/New Loop. But you will have to do the whole game again just to reach Chapter 9/10 of the DLC...

Thanks everyone for clarifying about the NG+/New Loop, I have not done a NG+/NL yet, hence my question.

I tried getting to the area of the Fairy Duo but the spring does not work, hence I was looking for a way to reset the fight.

Same applies to the area where the Wind Blessing is, I have not managed to reach that place and, if I am mistaken, the only way to access is through The Escape event after the Fairy Duo fight.

Can't really remember if I've tried doing Ravine II after clearing Ch.10. It is possible it might be accessible because the first time you go there you need to have a cutscene with the cats to be able to proceed further.
I doubt Fairy Duo is available without a reset although I can't say for sure. I assume the spring that usually would take you to the arena wouldn't let you go there. Maybe I should get back into the game and verify some of these things...

Edit: Looks like Ekkairot already tried the spring so my assumption about that was correct then.

Like Flariz already explained, escape is not necessary for the Wind Blessing although it is easier to get on a higher difficulty due to stronger wind. I personally like getting it before the escape so I don't have to worry about the time limit.
Speaking of which, on which difficulty you are playing the game? Or rather, how strong is the wind? It is a quite long jump to the other side and not exactly an easy trick to pull off in my opinion.

No, you can get the Wind Blessing without the Escape event... at least on BEX:

https://youtu.be/kqLVbzKfx7c

Slide + Bunny Strike + Air Dash + Double Jump

Again, not sure if this works on lower difficulties, since the wind is not as strong there.

Also saves a bit of time during the Escape proper since you dont have to worry about it at all.

So the Fairy Duo wont spawn again unless you beat Irisu...
I guess for whatever reason Chapter 10 Final Boss is the only exception to the rule, then. For some reason.

I am playing on the Novice(?) difficulty and when I tried getting the Wind Blessing using the Slide + Bunny Strike + Air Dash + Jump, I do not get close to the platform and always fall down. I read somewhere the way to do it is during The Escape event, however maybe the problem lies on the difficulty I am playing.

Reading Flariz saying I can Double Jump confuses me since I can only do 1 jump after the Air Dash and yes, that video is the same video I used as an example to try and obtain Wind Blessing.

I am not sure I can beat the game on higher difficulties since I am struggling with Erina Forgotten Maiden fight, and Ribbon and Ashuri SP fights.

Judging by the wind on BEX, I assume it would only work up till Normal or Hard difficulty. The wind is most definitely not strong enough on Novice difficulty for this trick to work.

So, that about does it. You need the Irisu reset, or alternatively do a NG+/Loop, at that point it depends on your plans. If you already had another loop on mind then may as well go for that instead of the Irisu reset I say.

Nah you just get 1 more jump after the Air Dash. I just said double jump because... I guess its integrated into my mind that a jump mid-air = Double Jump on most games, lol.

There's also a way of getting Wind Blessing without the escape or strong wind but it relies on a hammer roll glitch (there's even an option in the settings to enable such glitches).

I found a video where someone does the slide + bunny strike + air dash + jump on a normal difficulty and also does the hammer roll glitch in the second half of the video.

You can get Wind Blessing before the escape in every difficulty without glitches by using the same logic applied to the Long Jump minigame.

Bunny Slide -> Jump -> Bunny Strike -> Air Dash -> Quick Drop into Air Jump -> Amulet, Amulet, Amulet, Amulet

I guess that's one possibility too but I haven't tried performing it anywhere else but in the Long Jump mini game so that's probably why I didn't think of that.

Thanks for the video reference Mizufluffy, and thanks Johnny0798 for the Quick Drop + Air Jump, never thought of using them in that way. I will put it into practice.
