The game won't start today

Anyone else having this issue today? I click "Play" and the games apparently starts but I can't see it. I cannot click "stop" neither. I click the button and nothing happens. I have to CTRL ALT DELETE and force close the "running game". Sometimes the game doesn't even appear in task manager even though Steam says the game is running. So instead I have to force quit Steam.

Worked perfectly fine last night and nothing should have changed today. No anti-virus, no windows updates, no changes I can find. I keep my PC on a tight lease. ALL other installed games play perfectly fine. Apparently just a Gates of Hell issue?

I've tried:
-restarted PC
-Cleared Steam cache
-Cleared Steam download cache
-Verified the game files
-Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
-Unsubscribed from workshop items
-Malware, virus etc scans come back empty handed

Any help would be appreciated!

Run DxDiag.exe, press “Save All Information” and attach the .txt file to the email.
Add logs and minidumps from your game documents folder, if they exist. They are stored at the same folder as the log file.

i got the same issue, safe mode with or without pop up comes up and then disappears, no processes in the background running.

So, I randomly decided to delete everything in the "documents/mygames/gates of hell" folder and try the game again... the game runs fine now. I've loaded the editor and game in all modes and it seems to be perfectly fine. Added back mods and is working fine.

So, I'd say you guys should still investigate how this could happen because I didn't touch anything on my computer nor that folder BEFORE the issue started. I finished playing, immediately turned off my computer, then the next day tried to play again and the game wouldn't start. Something to do with those files in my games/gates of hell.

But, for now it seems okay. I sent an email with the requested details yesterday, haven't heard back yet anyway.

I have now the same Problem on 2 PCs
Wont even write anything in my documents/my games/gates of hell or create the folder.
Any help would be appriciated

Dude this is a thread from january 2022. Mods wont work until modmakers update those
