We need it so it can be a type of call in with the transport acting as AI after the troops drop.

In what way?

"A Spectacular US Airborne Operations DLC for Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront.

This DLC brings you a superbly detailed storyline, following the US airborne operations in western Europe in an exciting and immersive new format.

It features some of the most iconic battles fought by US paratroopers from the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions in World War 2."

This is what it is. For the price of a pizza, and I bet this lasts longer.

If its not conquest related I'm not buying, does it even add the flakvierling to conquest? Making airborne as a support drop call in for this dlc was a missed opportunity to really add something interesting to conquest.

It added new assets and vehicles, its rather a mission based DLC than a hardcase DLC with a whole new nation.

In the description and since we announced the dlc we were very forthcoming that is does not have a multiplayer doctrine. We did however add some extra units to the US doctrine for liberation, some pathfinder squads, and a couple of units to conquest. The DLC is a SP/Coop experience which was something we've regularly reinforced since announcing it. hope that clears it up.

Yes but why NOT add it to conquest and mp?
Surely it wouldnt be that bad to implement the maps and units

Youve been developing it for so long and its not included in the rest of the game?
Kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ i'lll be honest

One of the best campaign that I have played through.
I hope there will be more like that in the future :)

I just finished bloody gulch and it was the least appealing mission for me, its not that i dont like defense missions but it felt rather meh in general, i guess the heavy defense missions are reserved for Soviets and Germany.

Yes the quad 20mm is available in Conquest both as a towed unit and also on the back of a half track. Not sure if it is the armoured Sdkfz 7/1 or the soft skinned one.

Don't forget whilst some players only ever play PvE others onlt play PvP and the devs need to try their best to make it work as well as it can for both groups.

1) There ween't enough units to create a decent doctrine for PvP.
2) Having 'paradrops' anywhere on the map in PvP would cause issues especially with spawn camping.

PS you can see the new German units in the research tree even if you don't own the DLC. They should have a purple DLC stripe across them.

Don't ask me about he US units because either they are free for all players to use or the devs forgot the purple DLC stripe across the icon?

Yes but why NOT add it to conquest and mp?

Quite a few of the new units are British and at this point in time there is no British faction in Conquest or MP so where would they add the units to?

Firstly, Airborne is a standalone DLC, it has no faction, so it would be useless to make conquest maps because theres no US faction to go with it.

Secondly, Theres not enough units to warrant an entire doctrine for airborne, Additionally, There are no multiplayer maps released with airborne, so you have a doctrine and no appropriate maps to play it on.

Its not so much a matter of simplicity individually its a matter of the logic behind it. We wanted airborne to not require liberation so that everyone could play it.

I do hope that, some day, devs realize that it's the conquest/dynamic campaign mode that is the gem in their hands, not the skirmish mode /campaigns. I buy every dlc that add content to conquest and do hope it gets more love in the future.
